Bâtard-Montrachet

Grand Cru

Defining the boundaries between our parcels of Bâtard-Montrachet and Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet is a delicate task, as these two Grand Crus, which we acquired at the same time in 2008, share many common features. The east-facing ochre, stony, clay-rich soil provides exceptional conditions. The steep slope facilitates effective natural drainage. This being an early-ripening growing area, we have to delay pruning to avoid frosts. Covering a total surface area of 0.87 ac., this parcel allows us to explore the full wealth and complexity of this exceptional terroir.

TASTING

Acidulous on the nose, with warming notes of roasted hazelnuts. A fine balance is struck between character and fullness without ever compromising on persistence. This outstanding white wine possesses unrivalled ageing potential.
