Chambertin Clos de Bèze

Grand Cru

Clos de Bèze became part of our estate at the height of the financial crisis of the 1930s, and is considered one of the most emblematic appellations of Burgundy. Located in the heart of Gevrey’s Grands Crus (Mazis, Latricières, Charmes), Clos de Bèze epitomises their excellence. Our vineyard includes three plots covering a total surface area of 1.29 ha: ‘Grands Rangs,’ ‘Clos de Bèze Haut’ and ‘Vieilles Vignes’. The grapes from each of these parcels are traditionally vinified separately. Later, the wines are carefully blended and bottled. This appellation draws its depth and complexity from the limestone-rich scree soil. The ageing process further enhances the richness and subtlety of this Grand Cru, unveiling its full potential.
