Gevrey-Chambertin

Les Cazetiers

Premier Cru

This is one of the few "Têtes de Cuvée" (Top Crus) that was not reclassified as a Grand Cru in the 1930s, alongside Les Amoureuses and Les Saint-Georges. Since 2013, our estate owns over 4 hectares, representing nearly half of the appellation. It stretches over two distinct terroirs. At higher altitudes, marl and limestone impart finesse and minerality. In the lower part, clayey soils confer power and richness. This South-East-facing plot benefits from optimum sunshine. Our Cazetiers is a rich, generous wine with aromatic notes reminiscent of Chambertin. Its consistency from one year to the next is remarkable. It would be Erwan Faiveley’s choice to take to a desert island!
