Mazis Chambertin

Grand Cru

Our vines, spanning 1.55 ha, are planted on both the upper and lower slopes of Mazis. The shallow soils – predominantly Premeaux limestone – coupled with a low clay content, combine to create a seductive wine brimming with vitality and depth. A wine of considerable intensity in its youth, it bursts forth on the palate with a wealth of fruity flavours. At times delicate and fragrant, at others wilder and more masculine, its character is determined by the vintage. Mazis-Chambertin is an outstanding cellar-worthy wine, gradually revealing its complexity over the years.

TASTING

Woody, spicy and red fruit aromas dominate the nose. The same superb tastes mingle harmoniously on the palate. Well integrated smooth tannins contribute to a persistent and pleasant finish. The wine is balanced, fine and elegant.
