Mercurey

‘La Favorite’ is a plot selection within the Premier Cru ‘Le Clos du Roy’ vinified and matured separately to deliver an unique experience. The vines thrive on south and south-west facing, clay-limestone and white marl soils. Unlike Clos du Roy, the grapes are not quite as juicy, but with much more aromatic intensity instead. A minimum of 5 years’ ageing will bring out all their richness.

TASTING

This intense wine displays a rich dark ruby colour, bursting with aromas of black berries, spices and woody notes. The perfect balance between the rich aromas and tannins produces a full-bodied, indulgent wine with exceptional persistence.
