With this name, we pay tribute to Maurice Colrat de Montrozier, statesman, great uncle and witness at Guy and Yvonne Faiveley’s wedding in June 1945. This union symbolised two worlds coming together: that of wine, represented by Guy, the fifth generation of winemakers, and that of the railways, embodied by Yvonne, the daughter of the founder of Faiveley Transports. This cuvée is a blend of 4 hectares spread from the north to the south of Nuits-Saint-Georges, and from the bottom to the top of the hillsides. The very pebbly ‘Argillats’ contributes delicate aromas, while the flat ‘Lavières’, consisting of marl, silt and hard limestone, imparts concentration and depth to the wine.
