Premier Cru
This is a small appellation, where Grand Cru, Premier Cru and village wines come surprisingly close together. Our extremely small parcel of Combe d’Orveau, perched above the Petits Musigny Grand Cru, covers just 0.12 ha. Production is therefore extremely limited, ranging from 1 to 2 "pièces" only in the best years. While it is less fragrant than his neighbour Echezeaux, it is extremely concentrated and powerful. It differs from our Musigny in that its stony soils rest directly on the limestone-rich rock, imparting a more pronounced minerality. This makes it a ‘Petit Musigny’ in its own right.

Subtle aromas of wood and fruit unfold on the nose. Smooth tannins wrap around a core of mouthwatering black cherry flavours and toasty notes. This wine is elegant, refined and extremely delicate.
