Echezeaux

"En Orveaux"

Grand Cru

We currently own 0.83 ha, lying high up between Domaine Prieur’s Musigny and our parcel of Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Combe d’Orveau. Ideally positioned in the ‘En Orveaux’ sub-climate, our vines thrive on a southern exposure, producing a generous, sun-drenched yet lightly coloured wine due to the low clay content of the soil. Profoundly shaped by its sloping terroir, with its shallow marl soils sensitive to frost and drought, our Echezeaux fully reveals its splendour in wet years, as the vintage plays a significant role in defining its character.

TASTING

Beautiful clear colour with the deepest hue of ruby. Fine blend of fruity aromas with a touch of warmth conferred by roasted notes. Sweet and fruity on the palate with silky tannins providing a very satisfying aftertaste. This Grand Cru offers exceptional ageing potential.
